From this location, Vox UI demonstrates how a speaker-independent voice recognition system can interface the interconnected systems being installed in many homes today. Their approach is to provide a simplified ecosystem for the task-based control of networked electronics. This task-based, user experience is less about devices and more about content. Vox UI has a partner program for installers, resellers and manufacturers to help develop the market.
Founder Biography:
Ishak Kang has been an innovative Custom Electronics Installer located in the San Francisco Bay Area for over ten years. He was the founder of High Definition Home in San Rafael, CA, a company which was listed in the CE Pro 100 from 2001-2003. Mr. Kang's residential clients include some of the nation's most influential technology industry leaders and trend setters. Currently, Mr. Kang serves as a Board member for the Consumer Electronics Association's Small Business Council. His current venture, Vox UI, provides integration solutions for voice control of consumer electronics.
His prior work experience includes five years as an computer VAR servicing small and medium-sized businesses in San Francisco. His extensive Web Site design and programming experience includes work for Toyota, Porsche, and Intel. He served as a technologist for some of the leading marketing and graphic design firms in Seattle. Mr. Kang also was involved in the production of live media streaming over the Internet from as early as 1995 in both Seattle and San Francisco.
